Decursify Cooldown Boost
Is your sim a witch? Is your sim the witchiest witch in all of witchdom? Does this include spectacularly epic fails when your sim engages in their witchy ways? Then this mod just might be the answer to a lot of headaches your venerable witch might experience.
Curses are a natural part of being a witch. Not a single witch sim of mine (almost every sim I’ve played) has gone without acquiring at least one curse in their sim-life, usually more than one and often at the same time. Their are several ways to remove them but my personal favorite is Decursify. I’ve found it generally more reliable than the curse cleansing potion, though at lower rankings this difference is mostly moot as failures for either can be high.
What has been the real bane of my sims’ collective existence has been the long 24 sim hour wait before they can recast Decursify (also discharge but that is another mod in itself). So I set out to help improve the quality of sim-life by reducing the cooldown time for this very handy and must-have spell.
I have included several flavors since many would probably not want to “cheat” as much as I do (or perhaps wish to cheat more than I do). I have also included several increases for the hard-core players.
Two buff tuning values are modified though I think only the first has any real effect. RemoveCurse_Cooldown starts at 24 sim hours and this value seems to be the one that controls the actual cooldown. RemoveCurse_CooldownShort starts at 8 sim hours and I’m honestly not sure if this would have any effect at al but I include it to avoid inadvertently breaking anything. Reduction times on the packages reflect the primary cooldown. The modification to the short cooldown will always be one-third of the primary value, for example the 90 sim minute package has a short cooldown of 30 sim minutes whereas the 72 sim hour package has a short cooldown of 24 sim hours.
Cooldown reduction flavors are:
- 18 hours
- 12 hours
- 6 hours
- 3 hours (as shown in the images)
- 90 minutes
Cooldown increase flavors are:
- 36 hours
- 48 hours
- 72 hours
