Sims 4 Multi-Purpose Furniture: Surface/Bookshelves

Moving beyond just giving clutter a purpose for a moment, I’ve decided to give some game items a second purpose. These items are all tables (end table, coffee tables, and TV stands) that can now serve as bookshelves in addition to being a surface. Basically if there is built in book clutter it’s now a bookshelf.

These are overrides to the EA objects, replacing their tuning with bookshelf tuning and moving them to the Bookshelf category in addition to wherever they normally are. It shouldn’t conflict with anything unless you have something else that happens to modify these objects specifically, but please let me know if you have any problems with it.

Update 9/2:

  • Added Basegame nightstand and Cottage Living hutch

There is one other Basegame item I thought about doing, but I decided that the things that could be books look more like CD cases and there is a DVD or CD player built in so I’m going to include it in a future set with different functionality.

This is EA tuning stuck on different EA objects so there’s nothing for me to really give people permission for. If you’re an object creator and want to use the bookshelf tuning you don’t need my mod or my permission.
