The Sims 4 Simulation is Not Free
I don’t know why in the Sims 4 so many things are free. The careers make tons of money but what do my sims need to buy to that really costs them money besides their houses, certain services, and build/buy modes?
This is an attempt to reconcile that for a few instances. If you think of others, let me know!
Daycare
What is with this one? Daycare, free? Pfft! Now, when your Sim’s little one goes to daycare, it will now extract $100 from their household funds. (Note: This only works when a Sim is forced to leave a little one behind, not when they choose to! It’s a limitation of the game.)
After School Activities
A $200 activity fee is exacted from your household funds when your child joins Drama Club or Scouts.
City Living Invites
Oh, you want me to go with you to the circus? A concert? The opera?! Great. That costs money. Here’s my share. Each of these activities will cost $75.
Giving Birth at Hospital
Yes. This costs money. Giving birth now costs as much as adoption. $1,000.

Going on Vacation
Yes, I know you pay for your accommodations. You should also have to pay for your travel. Call it gas or airplane fare. It now costs a $100/person to travel to vacation destinations.
Proposing
Requested: Proposing now costs money. Call it a ring fee. It has the potential to be anywhere from $500 to $1500 and is completely random. Maybe they got a cheap ring, maybe they went all out. You and their intended will have to see.
Compatibility: While this is technically Base Game compatible, you obviously need to have the packs associated with certain interactions (like City Living for the City Living invites or Get Famous for Drama Club) for this to have an effect.
Are mods safe? … It is perfectly safe to download mods.
How do you use Sims 4 mods ? Extract the two files within the . zip file and place both of them into your Sims 4 mods folder. The mods folder is found in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > Mod
Will there be a Sims 5? Yes, there will be!
